Recipient Charity & Final Tally
Congratulations to Fill The Bus for being the Recipient Charity!
Together, we raised $18,000 in our Q1/17 event!
Fill The Bus is a program under the YMCA of Oakville, which helps send kids in need to summer camp. Last year, more than 1,800 people in Oakville turned to them for help. They were single parent families, families with low incomes or families that had fallen on hard times and needed transitional support due to illness, crisis or loss of employment. These families, and many others, can’t afford to give their children opportunities that other kids have; experiences that can help them grow up to be happy, healthy and confident. Camp remains one of the few place where kids can just be kids. Where they learn valuable life and leadership skills, get the chance to explore, meet new friends and build confidence and make memories that last a lifetime. It’s not just about a week at summer camp. It’s about opening up a whole new world of opportunity for kids, giving them the confidence to believe in themselves and their future — regardless of what they have today.
It was great to come out to meet Kyle, Janet, Andy and many other volunteers, and to learn more about this great Program. Our donation will give 90 kids the opportunity to attend camp this summer. We'll be sure to get them out to our next event to meet all the guys and give us an update.
Thanks to a Great Group of Guys!
Our Q1/17 Event was another phenomenal success!
It was great to have Ron Shantz come out and tell us about FrontLine Outreach and how they used our group donation from our last event.
We also had the pleasure of having Chantal Ingram of United Way Oakville talk about the many needs in our community.
HUGE thanks to our event sponsor MVL Leasing for not only providing us with an awesome venue and tasty nibbles - they also donated $1,000 to our tally!
A special shout out to PMA Canada who supplied us with Tyskie beer for our event.
Also a special thanks to our dedicated volunteers, including Andrew Sue-A-Quan, Mel Hum and Rob Ruso & sons for holding down the registration desk.

100 Teens Who Care Oakville
As follow-up to our last event, you heard about the launch of the new 100 Teens Who Care chapter in Oakville. This is great news for our teens and local community.
The 100 Teens wants to inspire the next generation of philanthropists and provide a forum for our local teens to make a difference in the community.
• Please help us generate excitement and engagement with your teens (grade 8-12)
• Talk with your teens about the power of the 100 and how they can be part of making a difference too
Help spread the word:
• Launch meeting is on Tuesday May 16th at PwC Oakville Office at 6pm
• We want to see your teens there
We are excited to support the launch of the 100 Teens Who Care Oakville.

Spread the Word & Stay Connected
Let's keep the momentum going. Please continue to spread the word to your friends, neighbours and colleagues. Our group is not limited to 100 guys or Oakville. We want to focus on Halton based charities and are happy to welcome guys from Burlington, Brampton and Milton. Let's see how big we can get, and how much of an impact we can make in our local communities.
If you are not yet a member and are interested in joining us, please make sure you sign up with all your contact info here so we can add you to our mailing list. You can also follow us on social media for more updates.
