Reminder: Our 2nd event is in 2 weeks
Reminder Two week countdown to our 2nd event: Date: Tuesday September 22, 2015 Time: 6:30pm registration; 7pm start Location: The Keg Oakville (300 Hays Blvd; Trafalgar & Dundas) Special thanks to our sponsors: The Keg Oakville are generously providing us with free appetizers and Raffi Jewelers have graciously agreed to be our beverage sponsor.
Looking forward to a great turn out and an even bigger cheque! A friendly reminder that members who are unable to attend an event are still expected to make a donation. If you can’t make the event, please either (i) give your cheque to an attending member (leave payee blank); (ii) send us an e-transfer to 100GuysWhoCareOakville@gmail.com; or (iii) if you prefer to pay by credit card, please email us at 100GuysWhoCareOakville@gmail.com and we can send you an invoice to pay on-line by credit card (a $3 processing fee will apply). In each case we will make sure your money gets donated to the chosen charity and your tax receipt is sent to you in due course.
What to Expect For our new members, our event should last approximately one hour, including:
Sign-in upon arrival, providing your cheque, completing nomination form (voluntary) and getting voting form
Brief update from Home Suite Hope, the Recipient Charity from our Inaugural Event
Draw three charity finalists for the event, short informal presentations on selected charities from nominating members, and then voting and selecting Recipient Charity
Oh, and we may network and have a sponsored drink and some free appetizers along the way.
Nominating a Charity Remember, we are looking to members like you to nominate local registered charities that serve Halton and that are able to issue individual tax receipts. Click here for details on how to nominate a charity. Have questions? Visit our website for FAQs and info on How We Work or email us at 100GuysWhoCareOakville@gmail.com
Spread the Word Let's keep the momentum going. Please continue to spread the word to your friends, neighbours and colleagues. Our group is not limited to 100 guys or Oakville. We want to focus on Halton based charities and are happy to welcome guys from Mississauga, Burlington, Brampton and Milton. Let's see how big we can get, and how much of an impact we can make in our local communities.
