Home Suite Hope

Home Suite Hope (HSH) fills a much-needed gap in the shelter continuum by providing transitional housing to a growing homeless population in Halton Region that need support beyond what is provided by emergency shelter facilities (normally limited to 90 days). HSH provides long-term refuge (average stay of up to 24 months) for low-income, precariously-housed, single parent families so that they can have the time necessary to stabilize their lives. Providing a longer period of stay helps lone-parent families have the time necessary to deal with the issues that have caused them to become homeless and to give them time to stabilize their life so that they can go on to permanent housing.

We have had the privilege of supporting HSH not once, but twice!

Our second donation of $16,400 was delivered to them on September 29, 2018.

“Home Suite Hope is thrilled to receive our 2nd generous gift from the 100 Guys Who Care.

The funding will be put to program support for our moms, who work hard to change their lives for the better, and rely on our support to build a hopeful future for their kids. Just as important as the financial investment, is the emotional investment of caring GUYS who invest in the lives of our moms, especially as many experienced a life up to here that was lacking in caring men.

THANK you 100 guys+ - you are wonderful!”

Our $13,800 donation was delivered at their office in Oakville on June 25, 2015.  See their newsletter here.

"I am delighted that 100 Guys Who Care Oakville voted for Home Suite Hope at its Inaugural Event in June.  It's inspiring to see men who are leaders  in our community care about issues of poverty in such a meaningful way. The group's donation will help us provide more long term housing for homeless single parents and their children so that they can stabilize their lives by upgrading their skills and attaining stable employment."
